Submitting an Assignment:
Editing a Word Document:
- If you have not bought Microsoft Office, there are multiple other ways to edit a Word Document (.docx).
- If you have an Office 365 account, you should be able to download the latest version of Microsoft Office for free. Simply go to your dashboard and click "Install Office Apps," then select the option labeled "Office 2016." If you are a part of Leon County Schools, just sign in here and follow the already listed instructions.
- If you have a Google account, you can edit Word Documents in Google Docs. When you go to download an assignment, instead of clicking the download icon on the document preview page, click "Open with Google Docs". From there you will be able to edit and save your own copy of the document. You can even save it to your Google Drive for when you are ready to submit the assignment (when you are uploading the assignment in the form, just click on the "My Drive" tab of the dialogue box that opens and locate the file that you have saved to your Google Drive).
- You can also upload your assignment to One Drive and edit it using Word Online. Remember: once you are finished editing download it to your computer to it is easily accessible when you are ready to submit it for grading.
Submit an Assignment:
- Unfortunately, because of Google's Security Policy, you must have a Google account in order to submit an assignment. However, you may sign-in using any Google account you wish (even you classmate's), as the account information is not being recorded.
- Before you submit an assignment, be sure that you have put your Name, Date, and Class Period in the paper's header. Also, make sure that you have followed the directions completely and to the best of your ability.
- Finally, once you are ready to submit an assignment, navigate to the chapter/subject that you need to submit an assignment for (on this website), and then scroll down and click the button labeled "Submit an Assignment". A new tab will open with a form to submit your assignment. Please note that you will have to sign in to your Google account if you are not already. One the first blank, type your first and last name. On the second, select your class period and click the "Next" button. Once you are on the second page, (on the first blank) enter the name of the assignment as it appears on this website. Then, click "Add file" and upload your file to the form. After you are finished, click "Submit" and your assignment will be submitted for grading.
